Do you use any preservatives?

No artificial preservatives, colours or flavours, and no added MSG. Salt, oil, vinegar and spice do the preserving, the way they always have. That's also why we make small batches and give every jar a best-before date.

How long does a jar last?

Best before 12 months from the date of manufacture (6 months for the Gherkin Chips), printed on each jar. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and always use a clean, dry spoon.

How spicy is it?

Each jar carries a flavour note. Our Classic Chilli Oil is the hottest; Garlic Crisp is medium; Peanut Crunch is the mildest. The Gherkin Chips are tangy rather than hot.

Is it vegetarian?

Yes. Everything carries the green vegetarian mark. (Note: the Schezwan Relish contains honey, so it is vegetarian but not vegan.)

What's in the Peanut Crunch Chilli Oil?

Extra virgin olive oil, peanuts, chilli flakes, garlic, salt, natural vinegar, honey, spices, white sesame, Kashmiri chilli and Sichuan pepper. Contains peanuts and sesame — please avoid if allergic.

How should I use it?

Chilli oils go on momos, noodles, eggs, Maggi, rice and dumplings. Gherkin Chips work in sandwiches and burgers; Garlic & Chilli is an achaar for any Indian meal.
