Our Story
The Kitchen
Hichki began at Vandana's Kitchen, a mother of two foodie sons, who cooks by instinct. For decades, she has fed her family without once opening a recipe book and still catered to all फरमाइशें. Somehow everything she cooked always tasted better than it had any right to. That instinct, built over a lifetime at the stove, is where this brand starts.
The Idea
The idea for a chilli oil came from the next generation — something no one was really making at home, something to spoon over momos, noodles, eggs, and everything in between. When Vandana was asked by her sons to make chilli oil, she looked it up and said "It is just a tadka — every home in India already makes one." and just like that... She created Hichki's OG tadka, our Classic Chilli Oil and in that moment Hichki was born - Old roots, New cravings.
Hichki was created to bring a little more flavour and transform everyday meals. Every jar is made to be used everyday, and not saved for a special occasion. At Hichki, we truly believe in Chef Gusteau's words that "Anyone can Cook" and we aim to inspire more people to cook and experiment.
